Erzähl uns von dir, wer bist du und woher kommst du?

I’m rapper/producer out of Greenville, NC. My flow is similar to the style of the late 90s early 2000s. Word play is key when you listen to my music. Something will go over your head if you don’t listen more than once.

Wie wurde deine Leidenschaft für Musik geboren? Wer sind deine Vorbilder?

My passion for music comes from my cousin Bird RIP. Once he passed I stepped away from the scene, but my cousins Bagway Jaye and OD brought me back to the music.

Welche Art von Musik machst du?

Hip Hop with a with an old school flair. I’ve sampled a few songs from the 80s and 90s. I’m versatile when it comes to flowing.

Was ist der wichtigste Song für dich? Welche Botschaft willst du den Zuhörern vermitteln?

I have song called Ain’t No Stoppin. The beat samples Ain’t No Stopping Us Now by McFadden & Whitehead. It shows where I’ve been and where I’m going.

Warum sollte ein Hörer, der dich nicht kennt, deine Musik hören?

I’m like a breath of fresh air. My music takes it back to the art of rapping. I’m not out here degrading woman or focusing on coming from the streets. I make music to make you dance. To make you think. But I got bangers for the dudes that’s in the streets. I make music that you can grab you woman and say hey babe this song describes my love for you.

Was sind deine zukünftigen Projekte? Wo siehst du dich in 5 Jahren?

Right now me and my manager Buck just working on putting a classic project out. When this joint drop folks going to be like Joey brought the heat with this one. 5 years from now I see myself deeply entrenched in the rap game. Me and Empiyah taking over the industry. With my clothing label Blk American take over as well.

So we had a show out in Charlotte. And my cousin Bagway Jaye was performing our song Big Dawg. And when it comes to the verse it’s not one of my favorites. It was just something I felt I put together. And in the video footage of the performance I appear out of now where and start rapping. And you hear the cheer from the crowd get louder. And once I finish I disappear like Batman. And it’s one minute I’m here and the next I’m not.
