ErzÀhl uns von dir, wer bist du und woher kommst du?

I’m VignĂȘ, a Nigerian artist creating from a place where emotion, rhythm, and storytelling meet. I come from a background where feeling deeply wasn’t always given language, so music became the space where I could translate what I couldn’t always say out loud. My sound grew out of solitude, reflection, and a strong pull toward honesty, not perfection, but truth. I draw from Afrocentric rhythms, soul, R&B, and atmospheric textures to create music that feels intimate and expansive at the same time. Where I come from isn’t just a location, it’s an inner world shaped by observation, sensitivity, and resilience. Everything I make is rooted in that space, turning lived experience into sound, and emotion into something you can sit with, breathe in, and recognize yourself in.

Wie wurde deine Leidenschaft fĂŒr Musik geboren? Wer sind deine Vorbilder?

My passion for music was born quietly. It grew from moments of solitude, from listening, observing, and feeling more than I could explain. Music became a safe place where emotion could exist without being rushed or corrected. Over time, it stopped being something I turned to occasionally and became the language I trusted most. I didn’t start with the goal of being an artist. I started with the need to understand myself. Writing and sound helped me process love, conflict, longing, and growth. That need is still what drives me. My idols aren’t just musicians, but storytellers and feelers. Artists who lead with honesty and atmosphere, people who allow softness, depth, and complexity to coexist. I’m inspired by creators who aren’t afraid of silence, who let emotion breathe, and who build worlds rather than chase trends. Their courage to remain authentic is what continues to shape my own path.

Welche Art von Musik machst du?

I create what I call Divigne music, a sound rooted in soul and emotion, but shaped by atmosphere, rhythm, and introspection. It pulls from R&B, soul, Afrocentric rhythms, and ambient textures, yet it isn’t confined to any one genre. Divigne music is less about labels and more about feeling. What makes my sound unique is the balance between vulnerability and control. There’s softness, but also tension. I work with minimal yet intentional production, allowing space, silence, and repetition to create a trance-like, almost spiritual experience. The music is designed to be felt slowly, not rushed, not crowded. Lyrically, Divigne music is honest and reflective. It speaks to inner conflict, emotional growth, longing, and self-awareness. Every song is a conversation with the self, and sometimes with the listener. My goal isn’t to chase trends, but to create music that lingers, music that feels personal, grounding, and quietly powerful.

Was ist der wichtigste Song fĂŒr dich? Welche Botschaft willst du den Zuhörern vermitteln?

The most important song for me is “Water,” which is on its way and serves as the lead single from my upcoming EP, Etherea. It represents a moment of emotional clarity and rebirth. “Water” is about learning how to flow instead of resisting, understanding that healing doesn’t always come from force, but from softness, patience, and surrender. The message I want listeners to take from it is simple but deep: you are allowed to change. You are allowed to feel deeply, to release what no longer serves you, and to move at your own pace. “Water” invites people to sit with their emotions without shame, to breathe through them, and to trust their own process. It’s not a loud song, it’s a quiet truth. And it sets the emotional tone for everything that follows on Etherea.

Warum sollte ein Hörer, der dich nicht kennt, deine Musik hören?

A listener who doesn’t know me should listen to my music because it doesn’t ask them to be anyone else, it meets them exactly where they are. My music is for people who feel deeply, who think a lot, who carry things they don’t always have words for. Through Divigne music, I blend emotive storytelling, Afrocentric rhythms, soul, R&B, and ethereal textures to create songs that feel more like experiences than tracks. It’s music you don’t just hear, you enter it. You don’t need to know my story to connect. If you’ve ever felt conflicted, healing, searching, soft but strong at the same time, my music gives that space a sound. It’s honest, atmospheric, and intentional, made to calm, to confront, and to remind listeners that their emotions are valid. If you’re tired of noise and looking for music that feels like truth, reflection, and release, then my music is for you.

Was sind deine zukĂŒnftigen Projekte? Wo siehst du dich in 5 Jahren?

Future projects I’m focused on building a body of work that goes beyond songs, projects that feel like worlds. That includes cinematic EPs and albums, visual stories, live performances that feel immersive, and collaborations that blend music, art, and culture. I’m also intentional about sync licensing, global showcases, and creating a clear sonic identity for Divigne music so it’s instantly recognizable. Long‑term, I’m building a catalogue that has both emotional depth and real longevity. Where I see myself in 5 years In five years, I see myself as an established global artist with a distinct sound and legacy, touring internationally, placing music in films and series, and performing on major stages. I want my work to be studied, felt, and remembered, not just streamed. I also see myself owning my art, my masters, and my narrative, while opening doors for other creatives who resonate with the Divigne vision. Success to me looks like freedom, impact, and a catalogue that still feels honest no matter how far it travels.

ErzĂ€hle unseren Lesern eine lustige Episode aus deiner Karriere als KĂŒnstlerin.

I remember my very first big show, I wasn’t prepared at all. The moment I stepped on stage, the lights hit me straight in the eyes, my hands were slipping on the mic, and I’m pretty sure my heart tried to jump out of my chest. I was panicking inside, thinking, “Please don’t let me trip!” But somehow, by the grace of the crowd, I just went for it. And to my surprise
people loved it! Looking back, it’s hilarious. I was terrified, but the performance ended up being one of my most memorable moments.
