GGB Mari, a rapper from Gainesville, Florida, has been passionate about rap since he was seven. With a strong-minded approach, he infuses real-life experiences into his music, making it authentic. He considers himself a true artist rather than just a rapper and is currently working on an album set to release on January 22nd, 2024. Mari’s ambition sees him living large in five years, having already achieved his mission. One funny memory he recalls from his career involves his homeboy GGB Istefan, too drunk to move, shouting adlibs into the mic from under a chair during a recording session.

Parle-nous de toi, qui es-tu et d'où viens-tu ?

I’m GGB Mari, I’m from Gainesville, Florida. I like to make money and I hold it down for everyone who love me who I love back.

Comment est née ta passion pour la musique ? Qui sont tes idoles ?

I just always wanted to be a rapper since I was like 7 years old. There’s a video somewhere of me with my daddy before he died and I was a young jhit rapping a freestyle. Who are my idols? No one, I idolize myself because I’m strong minded.

Quel genre de musique fais-tu ?

I rap in a unique way, I put my real life into every track. From what I’ve been through in my past to what I go through and do right now. It’s all authentic.

My most important song to me is an unreleased song so I can’t tell y’all. A message to my listeners? I would say I appreciate the support from y’all.

Quels sont tes projets futurs ? Où te vois-tu dans 5 ans ?

I have an album coming out on January 22nd, 2024. You can go pre-save that from the link in my youtube bio. I put a lot of hard work into creating, recording, and putting this album all together. Where do I see myself in 5 years? In 5 years I see myself living large and already completed my mission by then.

Raconte à nos lecteurs un épisode amusant qui s'est produit dans ta carrière d'artiste.

One time we was recording in a hotel room, and my homeboy, I call him my brother. GGB Istefan was no cap literally under the chair stuck too drunk to move shouting his adlibs into the mic from the floor for-real. That has to be the funniest memory I have as a rapper.
