Emerging Amapiano musician Kagiso Ramohlale, popularly known as Kayfloyd SA, makes his debut with a brand new single titled « Le Mpitse ».

Kayfloyd is a multi-talented South African producer and vocalist from Bochum, Limpopo. He was born on July 1, 1999, and graduated from Mathipa Makgatho High School.

Kagiso began his music career in 2010 and made his official debut in the music scene in 2022. He released his first track in August 2023, collaborating with Yung Lord and Kino37. This track served as the lead single for his first extended play (EP) titled « Birthday Shandies, released in April 2024. The EP was featured on the Beatport Amapiano Top 100 chart and ranked as one of the best amapiano albums for two consecutive weeks in April.

His music incorporates elements of Sgija, a South African genre that blends house, amapiano, and kwaito. Sgija is characterized by its upbeat tempo and heavy basslines, making it generally more percussive and impactful than traditional amapiano. Emerging from the streets of Pretoria in the 2000s, Sgija was performed by artists such as Mo’java and others. Recently, Sgija has gained popularity due to its fusion with amapiano and kwaito.

Kayfloyd writes and produces his own music. His new single, « Le Mpitse », Selesele and Deadshotchain, both of whom are emerging artists from Bochum. « Le Mpitse » is a celebratory song that captures the excitement of lively parties and gatherings.
