Where Independent Music Finds Its Voice

MDaath is a versatile singer-songwriter based in Sandusky, Ohio, who has recently released a self-titled EP. His passion for music was ignited at a young age, influenced by a diverse range of idols from Mozart to Big L. MDaath’s musical repertoire spans multiple genres, including rap, hip-hop, R&B, rock, and alternative. He particularly emphasizes the organic nature of his acoustic work, which he creates without the aid of sheet music.

His most important song to date is the introduction to his new EP, where he feels he has been the most vulnerable. MDaath believes listeners should give his music a chance because of its pure and organic nature, promising a unique yet somewhat familiar experience.

He is currently working on several projects, including “Major Static part 2” with DJ-JLew and “Ballinginlimbo 4,” set to release by the end of the year. A funny moment in his career occurred when he tripped over a small set of stairs while getting on stage, turning the mishap into a humorous highlight that had everyone laughing.

Tell us about yourself, who are you and where do you come from?

My name is MDaath I am a singer-songwriter out of Sandusky Ohio I most recently just dropped an EP self-titled introducing myself to the market.

How was your passion for music born? Who are your idols?

My passion for music was established I believe the first time I heard Mozart. I grew up in the church because my mother was the secretary for New Jerusalem so I was exposed to music early on. Some of the people that I looked up to were Big L, mozart, Miss Lindquist, Ms Pat Pat, Darrell Murphy, static major, Piggy, and a lot more.

What kind of music do you do?

I do rap/ hip hop/rmb/rock/ alternative / acoustic A lot of my acoustic music is more of an experience because it’s so organic I do not read sheet music or anything like that it is a total vibe. My rap and hip hop is very good because I have a high music IQ so I know when the bridge needs to come in versus the hook or when it needs two versus instead of three or vice versa.

What is the most important song for you? What message do you want to convey to the listener?

The most important song for me writing now is the introduction to my new EP I think that’s the most vulnerable I’ve ever been on any of my projects.

Why should a listener who doesn’t know you listen to your music?

They should listen to my music because I am a purest in this art form. Ultimately you will hear something that you find just a little bit familiar from another artist but the whole entire experience is purely organic and real.

What are your future projects? Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?

Right now I’m in the studio with DJ-JLew out of New York City we are working on the follow-up to the static major tribute mixtape we dropped at the beginning of this year “Major Static part 2” plus I’m working on “Ballinginlimbo 4” dropping at the end of this year.
