FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
LAGOS, Nigeria — Nigerian artist WENNYBROWN is set to release his anticipated new EP, TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN, on October 16, 2026.
The project is a deeply personal snapshot of WENNYBROWN’s journey, navigating through themes of doubt, isolation, self-reflection, unyielding confidence, and heartbreak. Rather than remaining tied to a single genre or mood, the EP captures distinct emotional shifts through contemporary West African soundscapes, seamlessly fusing Afrobeats with Brazilian funk, Afro-Brazilian drill funk, and street-influenced textures.
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN opens with an introductory skit before transitioning into four distinct tracks: “DEM TALK,” “ACTOR,” “LONI,”and “THEM DON MARRY HER.” Each record represents a different chapter of growth, offering listeners an intimate look at the person behind the artistry.
The previously released single “LONI” serves as one of the project’s most energetic highlights—a pure, uptempo Afrobeats record centered on confidence, movement, and the belief that today’s skeptics can quickly turn into tomorrow’s supporters.
Elsewhere on the EP, “ACTOR” adopts a raw, aggressive posture, driving heavily into Afro-Brazilian drill funk to confront doubt, grit, and WENNYBROWN’s relentless drive forward. “THEM DON MARRY HER” fuses Afrobeats with Brazilian funk, bringing a poignant, reflective vulnerability to the surface as it explores romantic loss and nostalgia. Meanwhile, “DEM TALK” addresses the quiet reality of isolation and public speculation, exploring what happens when people speak on your name without standing by your side.
For WENNYBROWN, TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN functions as more than a standard body of work—it is a sonic document of where he has been, the realities he has lived through, and how those experiences continue to shape his artistic evolution.
The EP is currently available to pre-save across all major streaming platforms ahead of its official release on October 16, 2026.
