South African rapper Balungile Lamla, popularly known as Da-Vinci, recently sat down with WhatsMusic.de to discuss his musical journey, influences, and upcoming projects. Originating from Qwaqwa in the Free State Province, Da-Vinci has been passionate about Hip Hop, Rap, and Trap since he was 11 years old, inspired by his older brother Khanyisa Lamla. His signature song « Endeavor » encapsulates his positive outlook towards life and future. Da-Vinci is currently working on his debut album and aims to go global within the next 5 years. Adding a bit of humor to the conversation, he also shared a funny episode of being chased by cops during a video shoot in a restricted area.

Parle-nous de toi, qui es-tu et d'où viens-tu ?

Balungile Lamla, better known by his stage name Da-Vinci (legendary_vinci), originates from Qwaqwa in the Free State Province (South Africa).

Comment est née ta passion pour la musique ? Qui sont tes idoles ?

He started rapping at the age of eleven, having been influenced by his older brother (Khanyisa Lamla) who was a rapper at the time.

Endeavor is the important song for me. It simply describes wishing you the best of luck in all your future endeavors. Here’s hoping your future is full of blessings and good fortune. Quels sont tes projets futurs ? Où te vois-tu dans 5 ans ?

Da-Vinci (Balungile Lamla) is working on his 1st debut album, the name of the album haven’t been confirmed yet. He sees himself overseas in the next 5 years. His wish is to work with big artists from US.
