An explosive celebration of rhythm, liberation and rebirth, where ancestral influences meet contemporary musical expression.

There comes a moment when introspection gives way to liberation, when the weight of the past dissolves into the sheer joy of being alive. With “Tribal,” CANJA (Andrea Cangianiello) captures that very moment, bringing his musical trilogy to a powerful conclusion while opening the door to his debut album, Yelé.

Where the previous two singles explored the experience of falling, the gradual awakening of consciousness, and the journey toward self-discovery, “Tribal” marks the culmination of that transformation, an explosive expression of freedom, renewal, and reconnection with life.

Driven by a raw, commanding tribal pulse, the composition embraces the primal force of rhythm, blending hypnotic grooves with the earthy, organic energy that defines CANJA’s acoustic musical identity. Powerful yet deeply evocative, Tribal transcends the simple act of dancing, inviting listeners to surrender to the music, embrace the beauty of the world around them, and rediscover the instinctive connection between body, soul, and nature.

More than a rhythm that moves the body, “Tribal” is a pulse that awakens the soul.

Extending this vision beyond sound,  an accompanying Music Video, dropping on November 21st, offers an intimate and deeply personal exploration of the composition’s themes.

Rooted in nature, personal heritage, and the visceral energy of acoustic rhythm, “Tribal” is ultimately a celebration of life itself, an invitation to let go, reconnect with our essence, and move once again in harmony with the world around us.

October 29th 2026 marks the release date of “Tribal”, now available worldwide on all major digital streaming platforms, paving the way for the release of CANJA’s debut album, Yelé, on December 3, 2026.

BIO | CANJA

Andrea Cangianiello, known as CANJA, is an artist whose music seamlessly blends diverse cultures with deep-rooted heritage.

Born in the province of Salerno in Southern Italy, CANJA brings together his Calabrian and Neapolitan roots with the values of his Evangelical upbringing and life between Lazio and Calabria, forging a unique musical voice.

These multiple facets converge in Floor, his debut single, released on February 19, 2026, in alignment with the Wax Moon, a symbol of growth, illumination, and transformation. The track serves as the first glimpse of his upcoming debut album, Yelè, set to release later in 2026.

CANJA’s international journey began in Brazil, where he collaborated with renowned percussionists from Bahia, including Neney Santos, Dede Reis, the Dum & Joe Twins, and Anderson Souza, many of them historic members of Olodum and Timbalada, and immersed himself in the rituals of Candomblé. This transformative experience allowed him to internalize and masterfully convey the essence of sacred chants, translating their spirit into his drumming.

He contributed to Neney Santos’ recordings, collaborating with James Senese and Mexican drummer Israel Varela. On stage, alongside Neney Santos, he performed with Mario Venuti, Rosalia De Souza, Claudia Mars, and Fabiana Martone of Nu Genea. He also joined the tour of mandolinist Mimmo Epifani, performing with guitarist Michele Ascolese, longtime member of PFM.

Additional percussive influences essential to Yelè stem from collaborations with masters such as Karl Potter, Tony Esposito, Ismailà Mbayè, and one of Italy’s leading flamenco guitarists, Daniele Bonaviri.

Later to follow, a world tour with Moroccan artist Meryem Aboulouafa and composer Francesco Santalucia, took CANJA to major international stages, including the Marrakesh Festival and the prestigious Jazzablanca Festival, North Africa’s most significant music festival. The tour concluded in Indonesia, where he collaborated with pianist Nita Aartsen, completing a transformative global musical journey.

With his debut single Floor, released in February 2026 via Distrokid, Canja invites listeners into a sonic world shaped by heritage, ritual, and innovation, a prelude to the full journey of Yelè, where rhythms, cultures, and personal stories converge into a truly unique musical expression.

With his second single “Tribe,” released on May 28, 2026, Canja opens the second chapter of this journey. If “Floor” was the fall, “Tribe” represents the return, the gradual awakening of consciousness and the rediscovery of oneself. The landscape changes: from the density of the inner forest, the listener arrives at the depths of the lake. Here, water is no longer merely a contemplative element but becomes a mirror of transformation, the symbolic place where solitude begins to dissolve into belonging.

Built around ancestral percussion, organic sound textures, vocal calls, echoes, and hypnotic rhythmic movements, “Tribe” unfolds less as a conventional composition and more as a ritual in motion. Percussion becomes pulse, fire becomes memory, and water becomes the mirror of transformation. It is a primordial invitation to step out of one’s inner forest and rediscover oneself as part of a whole, connected by the same rhythm, the same warmth, and the same tribe.

With the release of his third single, “Tribal,” on October 29, 2026, Canja brings his musical trilogy to a powerful conclusion, marking the transition from introspection to liberation. Driven by a raw, commanding tribal pulse, the composition blends hypnotic grooves, ancestral percussion, and entirely acoustic soundscapes into an explosive expression of freedom, renewal, and reconnection with life. More than an invitation to dance, “Tribal” celebrates the primal force of rhythm and the profound, instinctive connection between body, soul, and nature. It is the culmination of a transformative journey, where the weight of the past gives way to the sheer joy of being alive.

Through his debut album, Yelé, set for release on December 3, 2026, CANJA brings this artistic vision to life, creating an immersive musical universe where personal experiences become universal rhythms, memory transforms into movement, and music emerges as a form of collective healing. A sonic journey through roots, cultures, and traditions, where each composition contributes to a broader narrative of transformation, self-discovery, and rebirth.
