Vertel eens iets over jezelf, wie ben je en waar kom je vandaan?

My name is Dennis Cockerham. I am a country musician hailing from Sioux Falls, South Dakota. My music blends the best of country and Americana. I write what I know. Moreso, I am here to entertain. I am a performer and I put on a show. I have gained recognition with my hit song “Tailgate Crazy.” It is a spirited anthem which celebrates the vibrant culture of NFL tailgating. The song was pre-released right outside the Cleveland Browns Stadium and has since become a favorite among NFL tailgating communities. So much that I was asked to perform it in Detroit for The SuperFan Summit Tailgate for the NFL Draft 2024, this last April. And I now have dates being scheduled to perform this season at some major NFL Tailgates.

Hoe is je passie voor muziek ontstaan? Wie zijn je idolen?

My father was a musician. I was raised absent from him, so the dream of a son reaching out to his father.

Truthfully, I haven’t released it yet. Stayed tuned it gets even better. I will share my story with my music. I love Tailgate Crazy and how it has grown, but Dirt Rich Dirty Poor tells a lot more about me. And my message was this: I don’t have to do it the way everyone else is doing it. I am going to give it my shot. If I fail at that, at least it was really me!

Wat zijn je toekomstige projecten? Waar zie je jezelf over 5 jaar?

I am currently working on releasing all of my work. I have written many songs about my life, it trials and tribulations, from addiction to incarceration. I have been substance free for over 7 years now. Music has changed my life. That being said, I just finished writing lyrics to songs about 4 NFL Teams. I plan to get these out to the teams and the fans. My way of thanking them for their support for a regular guy like me from South Dakota.

I was part of a songwriting organization. They sent mTailgate Crazy back to me 3 times, claiming it was not good enough. Now it is the same song that is leading my charge forward.
