I’m Mixer OfficialVevo, a 16-year-old artist from Detroit, Michigan. I make Pop and R&B music that comes from real experiences and emotions. My songs are about love, confidence, and growing up, and I try to make music that people can vibe to and connect with. I’ve released 25 singles and 3 albums so far, and my 4th album, If Not Now, Then When?, drops December 12th. My latest single, BADBOYSS, is about telling a girl I could be that guy for her, even if I’m just a little bit bad.

Vertel eens iets over jezelf, wie ben je en waar kom je vandaan?

I’m Mixer OfficialVevo, a 16-year-old artist from Detroit, Michigan. I’ve been making music for a few years now, mostly Pop and R&B, and I write about stuff I’ve felt or experienced in my life. Music is my way of sharing my story and connecting with people who get it.

Hoe is je passie voor muziek ontstaan? Wie zijn je idolen?

My passion for music started when I was really young, I just loved how songs could say stuff I didn’t know how to say myself. I started writing and recording little songs on my phone, and it just grew from there, I mean I still record songs in my phone but I’ve just gotten better at it. Sabrina Carpenter and Tate McRae inspire me a ton, they show me how to tell my story in my own way while still making music people can really vibe to.

Wat voor soort muziek maak je?

I make mostly Pop and R&B, but I like to mix things up depending on the vibe of the song. My music is all about emotions and real experiences, love, confidence, growing up, that kind of stuff. I try to make my songs catchy but also personal, so people can vibe to them and still feel a connection. I like adding little surprises in my beats or melodies that make each track feel different and a little extra “me.”

Wat is voor jou het belangrijkste nummer? Welke boodschap wil je overbrengen aan de luisteraar?

The most important song for me is True Love, my own song. It’s really personal and honest, and I put a lot of my own feelings into it. I want people listening to feel the emotions behind it, the excitement, the highs, and the struggles, and connect with it in their own way.

Waarom zou een luisteraar die jou niet kent naar je muziek luisteren?

If someone doesn’t know me yet, they should listen to my music because it’s real and comes from my own experiences. I write about things people my age go through, love, confidence, growing up, but I try to make it fun and catchy too. My goal is for anyone listening to feel something, whether it’s excitement, connection, or just a song they can vibe to and replay all day.

Wat zijn je toekomstige projecten? Waar zie je jezelf over 5 jaar?

Right now, I’m focused on releasing my next album, If Not Now, Then When?, which drops December 12th. After that, I want to keep releasing new music, growing my sound, and connecting with more people who relate to what I make. Five years from now, I hope to be touring, working with other artists I look up to, and just continuing to make music that people can really feel and enjoy.

Vertel onze lezers een grappige gebeurtenis in je carrière als artiest.

One time I was performing at a college fair and totally forgot some of the lyrics to one of the songs. I just started freestyling the rest and somehow the crowd loved it! I guess it turned into its own little moment, and now I always laugh when I think about it.
