Jorge Natalin: Exploring Genre-Bending Music and Art from Amsterdam

Jorge Natalin, the alter ego of Arno Tijnagel, is a musician, photographer, and conceptual artist from Amsterdam, Netherlands. Inspired by his brother’s guitar playing in his youth, Jorge’s passion for music grew into a lifelong pursuit, leading him to create a diverse and experimental body of work. His style defies traditional genres, blending elements of modern, avant-garde, and experimental sounds, including organic guitar techno, trip rock, and underground influences. Jorge’s approach is deeply rooted in his own enjoyment of creation, aiming for listeners to find the same joy in his music.

Throughout his career, Jorge has been involved in various musical projects, starting as a rhythm guitarist in the rock band Kayanda, and later collaborating with artists like Thomas Midfield, Huron, and the Jim Offerman Band. He also recorded with DJ Rombout under the moniker Souvenirs. His discography spans 11 solo albums, numerous EPs, singles, and soundtracks for award-winning films. Currently, Jorge is set to release his 12th album, “Coming Down From Heaven,” which marks a shift towards a singer-songwriter style, featuring songs that highlight his voice alongside acoustic guitar.
