Tell us about yourself, who are you and where do you come from?

I’m from the east side of Toledo, Ohio. It was never really easy for me and my family growing up, but music had always been an escape for me. I’ve always struggled with mood swings thinking back on it. I would really get into fits of rage and see black but I would just put in my headphones and zone out before it got to that point. Whether I was in school, home, or wherever.. Music is my release.

How was your passion for music born? Who are your idols?

Some of my earliest and best memories are of waking up in the projects to the smell of pine sol, breakfast, & to the sound of good music blaring when my mother would get in her zone. She loves music as much as I do and I really credit my passion for music to her. I think it just rubbed off, it’s always kept me moving. As far as idols go, I have a short insider story. At maybe 12 & 13 years old, me and my cousin Turael spent all night rehearsing and then performing T.I. & Lil Wayne’s “Wit Me” song in my living room over the summer. But an artist I really studied is Babyface Ray from Detroit.

What kind of music do you do?

I rap over Detroit style beats because that’s what I grew up listening to and what I ended up liking. I’m really versatile though and make whatever is on my heart or mind at the time, but lately I’ve been pretty consistent with my sound.

What is the most important song for you? What message do you want to convey to the listener?

My most important song is called “Like Water”. It has a deeper message of togetherness and positivity with the intent to uplift and encourage listeners. That’s ultimately my goal.

Why should a listener who doesn’t know you listen to your music?

Because it’s authentic. It’s something you won’t hear anywhere else because it’s telling a story through my lens and it may breathe some life into you if you’re feeling down.

What are your future projects? Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?

I’m working on single releases right now and I’m filming music videos to my favorites. Follow my Artist page for updates. In 5 years I see myself a lot more established in my career and doing well. I’m doing what I can now to get to that point with my music

Tell our readers a funny episode that happened in your career as an artist.

I went to the hood studio and the engineer misplaced some money he put up and he pressed somebody over it after he ran out of answers but he apologized for accusing buddy after he calmed down. It was a lightweight silly situation and no love was lost.
