Vertel eens iets over jezelf, wie ben je en waar kom je vandaan?

For starters here is the breakdown on how I even chose my artist’s name! (It took me forever!) R.A.R.E. means — REAL AMBITIOUS REAL EXCELLENT WHO IS R.A.R.E.? R.A.R.E. Is very powerful because the true meaning behind the music represents what I’ve been through to get to where I’m at today as a human being, and also how far I’ve come thus far in life… And that’s what keeps me going. My name is Darryl Hill, now known as your new favorite Independent Rapper/Artist/Composer R.A.R.E. I’m 27 years old born in ‘96, a thriving Capricorn raised in Oakland California AKA your Bay Area!!

Hoe is je passie voor muziek ontstaan? Wie zijn je idolen?

Music is more of a passion for me, more than just a new level of education… after putting my first single out, “Much More Than That” on March 25th, 2022! I’ve been filled with nothing but support and love. This brings joy due to me always wanting to have the chance to be heard for whatever reason and to learn more about what I have a passion for – vocals, audio, and different sounds that the world can be given for the world to enjoy. So, to end I’m more than grateful for the support you all have given me thus far as an independent artist, and composer. I’m looking forward to what’s next!

Wat voor soort muziek maak je?

I consider myself to be a Composer, in a different form of a rapper. I’ve been passionate over music since I was 8 or 9. I’ve always enjoyed creating music, mostly recording my own songs and freestyles. When I was about 10, I started to record myself on a radio cassette player that my mom had purchased. I created my own radio station by taping the music I’d listen to on CDs or 106.1KMEL, and after that, I’d add my voiceovers to cover the radio personalities that were speaking. To sum it, I make “feel good”music.

Wat is voor jou het belangrijkste nummer? Welke boodschap wil je overbrengen aan de luisteraar?

That would be “Much More Than That” , I feel like it’s a strong empowerment song for you to feel good about yourself !

Waarom zou een luisteraar die jou niet kent naar je muziek luisteren?

Simply because I make all kinds of music, I’m not just on one topic or style, I like to be diverse. So I include that In music and give the people what they want to hear.

Wat zijn je toekomstige projecten? Waar zie je jezelf over 5 jaar?

I’m currently working on my debut album titled “Much More Than That” . Also, I’m working on shooting videos for a few of the singles that will be on the album. In 5 years from now I see myself doing better that I am now, still prospering and just doing what I love to do as always.
