Where Independent Music Finds Its Voice

Dark Goat, sonic darkness of the Abyss!

written by Dark Goat and WhatsMusic.de

Dark Goat is an Italian band known for their style of music that combines elements of black metal and death metal, resulting in a sound defined as blackened death metal. The band is distinguished by the use of dark and aggressive atmospheres, with lyrics often inspired by dark, mythological or esoteric themes.

They are characterized by their raw, heavy and dark sounds that make the songs full of tension and suspense and by disturbing and obsessive vocal lines. The lyrics sink into the meanders of ancestral fears, occultism and pagan mythology.

Tell us about yourself, who are you and where do you come from?

We are a duo, I am Vorigan and I record the guitar and bass lines while Father Faust takes care of the lyrics and vocal lines. We were born from the need to convey to the listener what fascinates us most and to play what we like most without necessarily having to take into account the commercial tastes of the masses and musical entrepreneurs. We are Italians.

How was your passion for music born? Who are your idols?

My passion for music was born at a young age but only in adolescence when I attended high school I began to be passionate about Metal and I started playing the guitar. My idols are Mayhem, Limbonic Art, Archgoat, Marduk, old Cradle of Filth and Dimmu Borgir, Decide and Opera IX.

What kind of music do you do?

We play a Black Metal with strong Death and Grind influences but we also like to experiment with ambient parts to create suggestive and disturbing music.

What is the most important song for you? What message do you want to convey to the listener?

We have a vast repertoire, but I always recommend listening to the latest releases because it is the fruit of the previous ones and is also the evolution of our sound and our thoughts in music.

Why should a listener who doesn’t know you listen to your music?

To experience new strong emotions and let yourself be transported into the depths of the abyss as a dark and new experience.

What are your future projects? Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?

We don’t know, but we will definitely try to compose and produce heavier and darker music.
