For Sonic Panda, the answer is ‘Bailes Con Beelzebub’ — a dark, confrontational and deliberately excessive new single that pushes the Chinese-Spanish duo’s theatrical sound and visual identity into some of their most extreme territory yet.
Built around hard-edged electronic production, gothic industrial textures and an unmistakable sense of menace, ‘Bailes Con Beelzebub’ takes the imagery of religious horror and turns it into something altogether more contemporary. The devil becomes less a supernatural figure than a symbol through which Sonic Panda explore division, fear, manipulation and the increasingly surreal nature of today’s sociopolitical landscape.
The track draws on the renewed cultural fascination with “Satanic Panic”, but Sonic Panda are not interested in simply recycling occult clichés. Instead, they twist the familiar language of horror cinema into satire, using provocation and black humour to confront the absurdity surrounding them.
The accompanying music video pushes that idea even further. Packed with grotesque imagery, genre-film references, excess and deliberately vulgar humour, it plunges headfirst into Sonic Panda’s twisted visual universe. It is confrontational by design — a video that refuses to behave politely or offer an easy interpretation.
Adding an unexpected industrial heavyweight to the release, Rotersand deliver their own reworking of ‘Bailes Con Beelzebub’. The influential German electronic-industrial duo bring decades of experience and their unmistakable sonic identity to the track, transforming the original while preserving its dark and unsettling character.
But ‘Bailes Con Beelzebub’ is more than a single.
The accompanying EP expands the release with a Carlsed remix of ‘Lucky Seven’, a live version of ‘Invisible Boy’, and a specially created comic book by Sonic Panda frontman Pere Ibañez. The comic, included with the physical editions, extends the narrative and visual mythology surrounding the band and offers another entry point into the increasingly elaborate Sonic Panda universe.
Available digitally as well as on vinyl and CD, the release also marks an important moment in the band’s development.

Two years in the making, ‘Neomelodrama’ brings together the contrasting elements that have defined Sonic Panda so far: industrial rock, electronic pop, theatrical excess, darkness, vulnerability, aggression, absurdity and humour. The album also features a series of international collaborations that will be revealed around its release.
With previous singles including ‘Silence Is In Vogue’, ‘Lucky Seven’ and ‘Invisible Boy’, Sonic Panda have been steadily revealing different pieces of the ‘Neomelodrama’ world.
