Why Did Justinus Risk His Life for His New Music Video in Cappadocia?
The Lithuanian duo Justinus x Cloudkey has unveiled their latest single, “Needed Nowhere (Cappadocia Edition),” a deeply introspective song that captures the essence of confronting one’s true self for the first time.
Accompanying the single is a visually striking music video filmed in the awe-inspiring mountains of Cappadocia, Turkey—a location as dramatic as the emotions behind the song.
“I was walking along ridges and cliffs, through thorny bushes, in 35°C heat,” Justinus recounted of the grueling shoot. “At one point, I slipped and thought I might fall off the ridge. I have an intense fear of heights, and there were moments when I had to close my eyes while performing.”
For Justinus Simanavičius, this wasn’t just a filming process; it was a personal challenge, forcing him to face his fear of heights head-on.
“Turkey’s landscapes and history are incredibly inspiring. Filming in Cappadocia was more than a creative journey—it was a transformative experience where I had to confront my own fears,” the artist shared.
Adding to the emotional resonance, the video includes scenes filmed in a 3rd-century church, a space that enhanced the song’s hauntingly reflective atmosphere.
