Interview with Txlibxn

Tell us about yourself, who are you and where do you come from?

I’m Txlibxn, I come from Charlotte North Carolina. I came up with the idea to become a musical artist because I was told I had an uplifting, inspiring, and powerful voice so I decided to make music. I also loved to hear beats and freestyle on them, I didn’t take it as seriously until I made a SoundCloud. Being told by locals that they really like it even bumping it in their cars. I was able to confidently take it seriously hoping to go far. Because if you love doing something you should major in it and make money off it. I was around 13 years old when I started YouTube, realizing my talent in entertainment I continued to do it because it was something I liked doing at the time, even coming up with a Podcasting idea. Because if I have that there’s no telling how many lives I can inspire, help, or change by just speaking.

How was your passion for music born? Who are your idols?

Growing up with Michael Jackson playing in my mom’s car every car ride helped me put my mindset in the right position. All Michael Jackson ever wanted was peace in this world and to help those needed. It’s as if you can trust him before even meeting him. XXXTenTacion made me think about being versatile because you’re not a true artist if you sound the same every song. Even teaching us how to be better people no matter how dirty our past is. How to change yourself, how to tap into your spiritual self teaching yourself a lesson on how to grow out of your old ways. Just being different no matter what the scenario is. My Uncle also being one of them because he basically showed me the ropes of the music industry. How to watch out for traps, Not following certain trends, Perfecting lyrics, delivery, and holding accountability to my words. Not just in my music but in general. Playboi Carti inspired me to be uplifting in my music, learning from him I’m able to make music that is able to be played everywhere.

What kind of music do you do?

All types of rap categories, recently getting into plugg. In the future, I want to invest in Pop music because I like to sing about real topics and things that need attention in this world. As far as placing me in a certain group won’t be possible in the future because of how versatile I plan on being.

What is the most important song for you? What message do you want to convey to the listener?

Michael Jackson’s Earth song. It had a lot of meaning, In order to understand why it’s important you have to understand what the song is saying. It’s mentioning past and even today’s problems that we are facing. Starving kids, Careless people, Greed, Harming the world, and how divided we are as humans. It’s meaning behind the whole song is basically stating that if we don’t love each other, help each other, or boost each other we will all crash faster than we expect.

Why should a listener who doesn’t know you listen to your music?

You should listen to me because I actually care abt your mental and physical states. I love helping people who actually want to be helped. Me talking about my plans in the music industry won’t be believable if you don’t listen to my music. Just give me a chance to change your life and you’ll see how my music will change you. Actions speak louder than words. I plan to help you through music nothing more nothing less.

What are your future projects? Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?

I see myself as successfully helping thousands of people through hard times and certain moods you have as a person. I hope my future projects are relatable. That’s all I want to do as an Artist is make relatable music for people who need it.

Tell our readers a funny episode that happened in your career as an artist.

When I went to the studio with Sunsxt on his 18th birthday. The energy was high and the way I click in with him we’d end up making a party anyway we want it because we can sense energy the minute we step in. We were grabbing any beat out of our phones and just jokingly hopping on the mic and saying anything that came to mind. The engineer was also having fun engineering for us because he knew that we were hyped and having so much fun. If I can rewatch the moments we had in that session I’d replay it for a very long time. After that day we came up with our duo name Nx Mxrcy and the rest was history. I’ll never forget that day.
