Tell us about yourself, who are you and where do you come from?

BISHOP 1800 is an R&B, soul, trap, hip hop and mainstream artist who was born in Lilongwe, Malawi in 2003 on the 25th of March. BISHOP 1800 has always had a passion for music, but it wasn’t until 2020 that he pursued it as a career. BISHOP 1800 has currently released 6 studio albums. BISHOP 1800s music is based on awareness and consciousness of the higher self and sense of direction.

How was your passion for music born? Who are your idols?

Music has always been a passion since birth, its like a medicine i can use to heal people and mostly heal myself. My passion was lit when i first saw Chris Brown he has always been inspiration

What kind of music do you do?

I’m focused on mainstream music, R&B, trap, soul and hip hop which also consists a fusion of conscious ideas, spiritual and mental powers. I also make music for educational reasons

What is the most important song for you? What message do you want to convey to the listener?

My important song is “SOLID GOLD” which i wrote and sung myself. The message in the song is based on a sense of origin which is kemetic and a sense of belonging, a feeling that everyone encounters and might know how to deal with it, so this song tackles that objective and provides an ideal answer.

Why should a listener who doesnโ€™t know you listen to your music?

My intention and goal of creating music is promote awareness and consciousness on a personal and global level. Music can affect people in a number of ways so as an artist its my job to influence people in a positive and good way. Music connects people of different ideals, races and cultures, so my goal is to provide a bridge and sense of connection whether spiritual or physical

What are your future projects? Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?

Currently I’m focused on creating music that people love and can relate. in 5 years i still see myself creating music for the soul and healing for the nation

Well it was my first time meeting my favorite artist but then i didn’t notice who the person was, then i heard someone call out his name, i was so confused and in shock that i had to look for his photos on the internet and to my surprise it was definitely my favorite artist i was so mesmerized and disappointed but he really appreciated that i was a fan
