Interview with Igor Lisul

Tell us about yourself, who are you and where do you come from?

Hi, my name is Igor Lisul, I am 38 years old guitarist from Kikinda, Serbia.

How was your passion for music born? Who are your idols?

My guitar journey began when I was 10 years old when I found a small guitar with 3 strings on a wardrobe in my room. I fell in love with the guitar at once. I am a lefthander, and I’ve been playing guitar with reversed string (E1 string on the top) order right from the beginning. I don’t have any idols, just want to express myself in the unique way.

What kind of music do you do?

I compose and play art rock instrumental music , sometimes ballad, sometimes virtuoso.

What is the most important song for you? What message do you want to convey to the listener?

All of my songs are very important to me, but probably “For Naomi”, a guitar ballad I wrote for my beloved princess Naomi from Japan. I want to share peace, love, joy and freedom with my listeners.

Why should a listener who doesn’t know you listen to your music?

I think people should try to listen my music because it gives a lot of peace, it is very relaxing, emotional and joyful, to lift your spirits.

What are your future projects? Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?

In the past few years I have released a lot of music, I was very busy and prolific. I would like now to slow down with releasing new music and try to focus on promotion.
