Interview with Analias

Tell us about yourself, who are you and where do you come from?

Born in the land of spices and mint tea, AKA Morocco, I am forward-thinking singer, songwriter and producer who knows how to do it all. I recently found comfort in Toronto, Canada to take over North America.

How was your passion for music born? Who are your idols?

Inspired by my late father telling him to follow my dreams, I started writing pop songs unbound by genre and uploading them to Youtube. Since first emerging on the scene of The Voice in 2018, with my run in the competition raising my profile through the roof, I have self-styled a dynamic career, thatā€™s included making myself at home in the world-famous Abbey Road Studios London and more recently founding comfort in Toronto to take over North America. I grew up up surrounded by the sounds from Kings of Pop Michael Jackson, Prince and Elton John to Divas such as Cher, Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey.

What kind of music do you do?

I make blissful pop songs featuring catchy riffs and bright vocals. I transport listeners straight to the dance floor and I am focused on delivering “powerful messages” through my music.

What is the most important song for you? What message do you want to convey to the listener?

“Stay Away” contains a message to people to stay strong and not fall for men who will make you sad and break your heart. And I hope that everyone who listens to it receives positive energy.

Why should a listener who doesnā€™t know you listen to your music?

I am a music deviant who creates a world in which authenticity is embraced and social expectations are dismantled. My nonstop creative output is only part of the story, as I am candid about my growth as an artist and producer, acknowledging that I grew my sound while working on my past projects, and understanding that an artist is always developing.

What are your future projects? Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?

” Stay Away ” drops more hints towards his forthcoming EP and the next exciting era of his career. You see Jay-Z? Well in 5 years I hope to be the Canadian Jay-Z.

Tell our readers a funny episode that happened in your career as an artist.
