Tell us about yourself, who are you and where do you come from?

Idrissa Aponda, better known as Idrissa, is a Congolese – French singer songwriter and dancer. I was born in Kinshasa (formerly LĂ©opoldville), which is the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo. But I grow up in North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany.

How was your passion for music born? Who are your idols?

I started singing in church when I was seven years old. As a result, I ended up singing everywhere at any time. At my school, I sang in musicals and got to a point where I wanted to make my own songs. Michael Jackson and Maxwell were my biggest idols.

What kind of music do you do?

It is a mix of Afro Vibes and RnB so i call it “AfroRNB”

What is the most important song for you? What message do you want to convey to the listener?

It’s hard to choose because all my songs have a positive message. But if I had to choose, I would say that my song “Melanie” is the most important song for me because its message is really deep. You know forgiveness is the most important thing in my life. And that’s the message of this wonderful song.

Why should a listener who doesn’t know you listen to your music?

Its Kinda cliché, but music is truly the universal language. No matter what language you speak or area of the world you live in, you can communicate with others through the emotions induced by music. Music has a profound impact on your mental state, and mental development. The music you listen to affects the ways you think, act, and interact on a daily basis. When you are feeling down, music can cheer you up. That us me and my music you just feel love.

What are your future projects? Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?

I see myself constantly improving my skills, becoming more efficient and professional. I am constantly striving to make myself an even better person and to significantly improve my musical career.
