Interview with Adeline Yeo

Tell us about yourself, who are you and where do you come from?

My name is Adeline Yeo (HP), an unsigned Indie Musician began my Indie music career or biz back in 2013 and I returned back to what I have been passionate of in 2021. I came from Asia region, Singapore.

How was your passion for music born? Who are your idols?

My passion for music born was somewhere around 2013 whereas there was one fine day, I was curious of music compositions. I dreamed of making music without formal musical knowledge and experience and I stumbled upon a new computer music program and began composing music with it. My idols are Jacky Cheung, Ronald Cheng, Auguste Kwan, Stephen Chow, Debbie Gibson, Paula Abdul, Tom Cruise, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jim Carrey

What kind of music do you do?

I do pop music. The elements are catchy melody, and are easy to remember and sing along to which are special for my sound. I do hiphop music. The elements are graffiti art, street fashion, street knowledge and B-boying which are unique for my sound. I do electronic music. The elements are kick, hi-hat and claps which are special for my sound. I do bossa nova music. The elements are evolved in the late 1950s from a union of samba (a Brazilian dance of music) and cool jazz.

What is the most important song for you? What message do you want to convey to the listener?

One of my favorite song is “I Seem To Have Seen You Somewhere” ( Wo Hao Xiang Zai Na Er Jian Guo Ni” by Joker Xue Zhi Qian. I want to convey to the listener that each affinity you have been encountered in your life perhaps heaven already arranged to have seen the person because of time and earth transitions. Fate brought the person that you have met in front of you because of these factors. If it’s a good affinity, you can cherish but if not better let go.

Why should a listener who doesn’t know you listen to your music?

My intention to make music could make you de-stress from your daily hectic lifestyle. My goals I have for it are to relax your mindset, distract your thoughts to mindful listening of my music and that will help listeners shift to positive thoughts of my music after listening. Hopefully, my music could bring positive energy to your life and not let you dwell on negative happenings that you’ve encountered.

What are your future projects? Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?

My future projects are Free Music Archive – FMA Next Club and Sound In Bio Music Single and Albums Fan Pages. I see myself able to handle more obstacles and challenges as they comes along the way and even stuckness I can still see my own progression. Probably, I can become more understanding, emphathetic and respectable artist towards certain situations 5 years from now.
