Tell us about yourself, who are you and where do you come from?

Moin, I am the solo artist “Heldenlos” from Oldenburg in Germany and make music in the direction of indie, pop and rock. In November 2021 I released my first EP “Roter Ballon” and then performed in various German cities. Now is a short concert break and I thought I use this and release a new single.

How was your passion for music born? Who are your idols?

I have loved listening to music since I was a little child and was taken to concerts by my parents at an early age. I think I started playing guitar when I was 7 years old. My dream has always been to play in a band and when I was 16 I finally did it and founded the punk band “The Bollix” with some school friends. I played in many bands over the years and in 2021 I decided to make music for myself. to make music for myself. I actually have many role models, but at the top are Udo Lindenberg and Robert Smith (singer of “The Cure”).

What kind of music do you do?

I make music in the style of indie, pop and rock. I can’t and don’t want to commit myself. It’s fun to be free when you write. Typically, there’s a piano in my songs. Like in my current single, “Climate Justice.” But you have to know that it’s a little different on stage. I’m currently touring solo, so I interpret my songs in a completely new way in the live program. I sing, play guitar and accompany myself with foot percussion (bass drum and snare).

What is the most important song for you? What message do you want to convey to the listener?

Clearly my new single “Climate Justice” – my most politically significant song to date. I’ve been meaning to address the issue of “climate change” for a long time, but since it’s very close to my heart, it was important to me that the song succeeded well. We all need to learn to be smarter with our nature, we only have this one world to live on. To think, after us – the deluge, is quite selfish. For this reason: “What we want – climate justice!”

Why should a listener who doesn’t know you listen to your music?

I always try to make the music that I feel. That’s what differs myself and a lot of other underground artists, from a lot of big acts. So if you are looking for music with heart and passion, despite 40 hrs. week at work, so said from real life – then you are definitely right with us underground artists. By the way – whether with me or with other small musicians please visit our concerts! You support us immensely.

What are your future projects? Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?

I am currently very satisfied, I can live my passion, see a lot of Germany through the concerts and thereby meet incredibly interesting people. Therefore, it is my wish to still be on the road with music in 5 years.

Tell our readers a funny episode that happened in your career as an artist.

I don’t have to think about it at all and just take the last story. During the music video shoot for “Climate Justice”, the film team had planned to create a special backdrop through fog. You have to know, we were in Oldenburg in the Cine-K, a cinema. The only stupid thing was that smoke detectors also react to fog machines. Well, the alarm system started and a large contingent of the fire fighters stood in front of the door of the cinema. door of the cinema.
